Halstonberg is published by Endymion Corp, doing business as Halstonberg. This policy explains what data the site collects and what choices you have.

What we collect

Halstonberg has no accounts, no logins, and no newsletter. We do not ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal detail, and there are no forms on the site that collect one. The interactive tools run entirely in your browser: the salary, dates, and other values you enter are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.

What is collected happens through one third-party service:

• Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics, including pages viewed, approximate geographic region, referring site, device and browser type. This tells us which guides people find useful. It uses cookies and similar identifiers.

Halstonberg does not serve advertising and runs no advertising network, so no ad-targeting cookie is set on this site and no profile is built for ad personalization.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) also processes standard server log data, including IP addresses, for security and delivery.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to legal document services are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on a resulting purchase. Those links pass through a redirect on our own domain (a URL beginning /go/) before forwarding you to the third party.

That redirect records the offer you clicked, the time, the page you clicked from, the country our host reports, and a short one-way hash of your browser’s user-agent string — the hash, not the string itself, so it cannot be read back or used to identify your browser. It does not record your IP address, does not set a cookie, and does not build a profile of you. We use it for one thing: to know which articles readers find useful enough to act on.

Once you reach the third party’s site, their privacy policy governs, not ours. They may set their own cookies to attribute a purchase. We have no access to those cookies and receive no personal information about you from them — only aggregate, non-identifying totals.

Cookies

The only cookies and similar identifiers set on Halstonberg are Google Analytics 4’s, described above. There are no advertising cookies, because there is no advertising. The affiliate redirect sets no cookie of any kind.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies directly in their settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from reading anything on this site.

Consent

Where required by law, including for readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics identifiers are used only with consent. Halstonberg sets no advertising identifiers at all, so there is nothing to consent to on that front.
